I first had the great pleasure of reading Black Balled. I could not wait to give it a 5 star review. Now with Hard Edit? Can we do 5 stars times, say, 10? What I loved in BB was ever-everpresent in HE. Never once did the characters waver from the first book. Pretty incredible that as the story evolved and our guys grew, they never lost who they were. But just got better.Snark barely does justice to the humor. Smoking hot definitely does NOT do justice to the sex scenes. I have no words. Well, that I would print.
What these amazingly gifted authors were able to do, was have our guys grow together, with all their faults, and all the humor. And what really blew me away was the unwavering love and commitment. The mush and romance was oozing so much, you would think it was a Harlequin Romance. But it was mush and romance so unique to these guys, it worked to perfection. Really perfect!
Miscommunication? Check.
Stubborn? Check.
Funny? Check.
Unwilling to give up? Double check.
Romance? Oh yeah.
Listen, if you have not read Black Balled, read it. And when you are done, immediately read Hard Edit. I cannot recommend these two books enough.

Inhales. Exhales. Dreamy sigh.
So, I'm not much of a reviewer when it comes to books I like. That is because I feel like I might say something and it will come out not right. But for this, I am willing to take the risk. LOL.
I'm a fan of Babu and Blackburn since the first book. Both of them are alpha men with twisted and sarcastic side. They have past and their life now is being put to test after almost a year of being together. It's a edge of the seat type of story that will leave you gasping from them throwing words and banter towards each other, or panting on them throwing each other at bed.
Troy and Larson's possessiveness towards each other is just sooo HOT. I'm was grinning like the Ceshire Cat reading at their behaviors. I can't say much without spilling spoilers. But Andrea and Eva are the best tandem. The writing shows their own skills representing each character, showing their competitive sides yet, their love for each other is intact.
A highly recommended book, and that being said, Black Balled and Blazing Guns should be read as well.
So... what can I say for this one?
This is the first book ever in which I highlighted so many excerpts..I liked-no, loved-the whole book, it was so good...so funny, full of love and lust! )
It's very different from Black Balled because we see a completely different side of Troy and Larson. Yes, they are...kind of difficult characters but they are so good, so perfect for each other. AND SO FUNNY!!!!!! I couldn't stop laughing while reading it!
I'll let some excerpts to "speak" for me...
"This is everything...we are everything to each other. Troy is the full moon to my nights, I'm the sun to his days. He is the wine to my evenings, I'm the coffee to his mornings. We could exist without the other but I've come to realization that we couldn't be living"
"He's mine. I'm his. Together, we're flawed and impossible yet perfect for each other"
"Every single one of your obstacles has led you to me. Every path, every disappoitment and every one of your choices has brought you one step closer to me. Me, Troy. I will right her wrongs by loving you more, better and without fault"
Forget everything about Black Balled and the bulls***s they told you about it. They are two seriously good books, give them a chance.

I had no idea there was a second book to this series until I went to write my review for the first. Of course, I immediately scrambled to buy it and was so excited to find it was also already out in audio. And...yay, I think I enjoyed this story even more than I enjoyed the first (although that first one was really good too). So, that's good news for you because this is not a stand-alone story. To get the true effect and understand these characters, you NEED to read both books...and I highly recommend them in audio.
You should note...these characters in the first story were cocky and belligerent and narcissistic. Those personalities haven't been changed by love. LOL. These guys are both still jerks at their heart...the difference now is that they've softened...a little bit. They are absolutely madly in love and despite everything going on...including the fact that they really strongly disagree a lot of the time...their love is central in this book. Every time they fought and had harsh moments between them, I aww'ed because then they would turn around and confess their emotions. I loved that so much. It was that love and devotion that overrode everything else that made this story so good.
These two are NOT your typical heroes. In fact, they're thoroughly unlikable characters, but that's what makes their romance so good...because through it all, you can't help falling in love with them and cheering them along the way.
Huge kudos to the two authors for making that work. Wow, that some serious writing skill.
So, again, I highly recommend this story, especially if you've read the first book. You NEED to grab this one immediately. It's not your normal romantic story, but I loved it for that and these unlikely, but still lovable characters.
